The children's workshops are recommended for children age 6-12, and run at the same time as the adult sessions.  We do not have children's workshops during the keynote or closing but children are welcome at those.

Saturday 10.45 - 12.15: Let Toys Be Toys

Come along to this hands-on, multimedia workshop to explore how toys and books are marketed to kids. As we look at images, video clips and other media, join in a discussion about gender stereotypes, how they affect you and how you can challenge them. Hear real life stories about kids who have successfully campaigned for change.  Get creative and express your ideas for making change - we'll have plenty of art supplies on hand!

Saturday 1.15 - 2.45: Ingenues

At Ingenues we specialise in creating fun, educational toys and games for children that inspire imaginative play and promote exciting roles for women in society.  Our activity boxes, aimed at 7 to 11 year olds, are all based on the lives of ordinary women who have had extraordinary careers. The contents of our boxes tell their stories and can include costumes, activities, experiments and information that awaken young minds to new possibilities.  All of our products are hand crafted in the UK by small manufacturers and local businesses.

We also create and provide workshops for schools, community groups and events that promote learning through meaningful play.

During the workshops we will learn all about Amy Johnson and Mary Seacole, make and race paper aeroplanes to learn about flight and create paper medals naming our achievements and the achievements of those we would like to award them to.

Saturday 3.15 - 4.45: Banner making
The children will create a FiLiA children's banner - its first outing will be at Reclaim the Night!

Sunday 10.45 - 12.15: The Jewish Museum

Rewriting the Rules: A craft-based workshop, using the Torah as inspiration to write your own rules for life.
