Government fails women yet again
The combined efforts of Amnesty and the Government put arguably the most disadvantaged women at even further risk.
A 'human rights' organisation turning its back on the 89% in favour of pimps, johns and traffickers plays into the hands of the sex industry at the expense of women and girls the world over.
Combine this with a Government that closes down rape crisis centres and exit programmes for the majority of women who are forced, coerced or through limited options move into prostitution and we see that a crisis point has again been reached.
The Nordic Model, well funded exit programmes and a meaningful cultural shift is needed as a matter of urgency.
Women and girls should not be for sale.
