#81 FiLiA meets: Mia
Mia is a radical feminist, mother and leftist and kickboxer. She was born in Sarajevo and moved with her family to Slovenija in summer of 1994, after the war ended in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Her family was communist leaning atheists, and Muslims by heritage. Mia is an anti-theist. Mia cares deeply about the rights of women and girls, and the harms they suffer under patriarchy including religious oppression, commodification of women’s bodies (such as in prostitution and pornography), domestic violence and child abuse. She joins FiLiA’s Sadia Hameed to discuss Bosnia & Herzegovina after the war and her experiences.
