KIRRAN SHAH

Kirran is a freelance Writer and Radio Producer, based in Bradford. She is currently producing a radio documentary about the spoken word scene in Bradford and regularly performs at spoken word and open mic events. Kirran previously worked for the Science Museum Group in visitor research, and has a range of experience in the arts and media industry, working with both independent production companies and the BBC. She volunteers for BCB local community radio and has worked closely with arts organisations including the Brick Box and Bradford Literature Festival.   

Kirran has been a climate activist since she was a little girl. She co-presents the 'Women and the Climate' programme on BCB Radio with Shi Blank. Over the years, she has volunteered for the Green Party, Amnesty International and Friends of the Earth. She is passionate about sustainability and environmental conservation.
