Harriet Wistrich is a feminist activist and solicitor specialising in cases that challenge state failures and abuses particularly around violence against women. She is the winner of the Liberty Human Rights Lawyer of the Year award 2014. Recently she has founded The Centre for Women’s Justice, a new multi partner organization aimed at bringing cases holding the state to account in relation to violence against women and girls. She is also a founder of Justice for Women and a founder and trustee of the Emma Humphreys Memorial Prize.
