Eloise Rickman is a mother, writer, and peaceful parenting mentor. She works with parents through courses and coaching to help them find more ease and joy in their parenting, supporting them as they move from traditional models of parental control and coercion towards a more conscious model of parenting based on connection and collaboration.
"I believe that peaceful parenting can be a truly radical act, and that the way in which we raise our children can have a profound positive impact on our communities, our societies, and our world. The personal is political: parenting is absolutely a social justice issue. As adults, we have more power than our children. How we choose to use our power matters. Peaceful parenting is a quiet revolution, taking place in playgrounds rather than protests, but I have no doubt that it is a powerful one."
Eloise studied Anthropology at Cambridge University before working in political communications. Following the birth of her daughter she trained as a doula and birth coach, and now supports parents at every stage of their parenting journey to as they work to give their children a slow, gentle, beautiful childhood.
Eloise lives in a house full of books in South London with her husband Sam, their three year old home educated daughter Frida, and a very mischievous ginger cat.
