This talk will describe the daily struggle for Palestinian women in Gaza to pursue their dreams and support their loved ones despite recurrent Israeli military assaults, siege and hardship.

About Mariam: I have been working as a teacher of Arabic for six years. I have a BA in Library and Information Science and Diploma in Supporting Teaching and learning in Schools. I was born in Saudi Arabia to Palestinian parents and lived in Gaza between the age of 10 and 22. I got married and moved to Switzerland in 2006 before moving to and settling in the UK in 2008. I am a campaigner for the rights of Palestinians for justice and freedom.
