About Jen: Jen Davis is a Parliamentary Assistant and community activist. She currently works for a Labour Member of Parliament and has also held various positions within the Labour Party at local, regional and national levels.
She is the first person to hold the position of Workplace Organiser for GMB, in Parliament which is one of two unions that represent Member’s staff.
She is also the creator and producer of the political podcast Consensus, which is hosted by black and mixed-race women from four political parties discussing policies and their experiences in politics as ethnic minority women.
She organises events to encourage more young people of ethnic minority to get into the political field.
Jen's passions range from encouraging young people into politics to tackling racism, stigmas on students being permanently excluded from mainstream education and youth violence.
