Ama Josephine Budge

Ama Josephine Budge is a London-based writer, curator and artist whose work navigates explorations of race, diaspora and feminism. Ama writes and curates for radical feminist collective and periodical HYSTERIA, as well as other subversive publications. Her work challenges neo-liberal feminisms, working to activate and catalyse movements that emphasize human rights, ecological revolutions and de-gendered identities. She works with programmer Hannah Pool on the Africa Utopia and Women of the World (WOW) festivals at the Southbank Centre. Ama also works with the Missing Chapter Collective at photography gallery Autograph ABP. She has a background in performance art and is currently a student of the MA in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy at Goldsmiths University.
