How can I register for #FiLiA2025?
Click this link to register.
What is the venue?
The venue is in Southern England and will be announced nearer to the event.
How is FiLiA Financed?
FiLiA is a women-led volunteer organisation. Since 2013, all of our volunteers, speakers, stallholders and artists have donated their time.
We’ve also launched the Friends of FiLiA scheme, inviting Women to make monthly donations, starting from £1 / month. Every penny gifted through Friends of FiLiA goes directly towards supporting Women to participate who otherwise would not be able to, for example by providing a creche and speech-to-text.
You can make a donation to support our work, buy some FiLiA Merch, and gift a Solidarity Ticket. All these things help us to make FiLiA available to as many Women as possible.
On top of the conference, we have begun to apply for funding to support specific projects, for example, the FiLiA Legacy Project.
We are a grassroots organisation and we do not take any corporate or state funding.
What is the pricing structure for the conference?
Concessionary tickets are for those age 12-18 / students / over 60’s (nod to the #WASPI Women) / in receipt of benefits)
Children age 11 and under go free (please register them when you buy your tickets)
We run a Solidarity Ticket scheme so that we can gift tickets to Women who otherwise would not be able to attend. Contact info@filia.org.uk if you think you qualify for a Solidarity Ticket.
I want to bring my children, are they welcome?
Yes. There is a creche for children age 11 and under.
What about teenagers?
Teenagers are very welcome to attend and qualify for concessionary priced tickets.
Is the FiLiA conference women only?
Everyone is welcome to attend the FiLiA conferences.
Are the workshops all open to everyone?
Most sessions are open to all, though we will hold Women Only Space when requested by the session facilitator. We believe that it should be a fundamental right of any oppressed group to name their oppression and organise against it. We support Women Only Space.
Some sessions are also restricted by number. Any restricted sessions will be clearly marked as such.
Will there be disabled access?
Yes. Please see the accessibility page.
Is there a quiet space available to attendees?
Yes, we have quiet space set aside. This will be signposted, but please ask one of the volunteers if you need help to find it.
Will there be food available at the venue?
There are many places to buy food near the venue. We cannot cover the costs of food, unfortunately, but please feel free to bring your own.
What time is the party?
The party runs from 7:30 pm until midnight. Volunteers have to be up very early to prepare for the next day, so we do ask that Women finish up at midnight promptly and any help clearing up is always appreciated!
Please note that FiLiA takes a zero-tolerance stance towards sexism, racism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and classism.
