We are extremely grateful to have won funding for a three-year FiLiA Legacy Project.

Our annual FiLiA conference takes place in a different city each year and one of our team moves with the conference in order to integrate into the local communities and learn from the grassroots Women's activism in the areas.
Local Women inform and participate in the conference as speakers, stallholders, artists and volunteers. They have deepened our understanding of local Women's needs and this is an important part of our work to Build Sisterhood and Solidarity, locally, nationally and internationally.
The FiLiA Legacy Project is based on three core pillars of activity:
Promoting collaboration and network building between women’s organisations and community groups, movements and activists
Providing advocacy and activism training and skills, informed by local community needs
Developing Legacy Networks within and between each region so the movement grows and FiLiA Legacy Projects are interconnected
Informed by local Women's needs, we will amplify the voices of local Women via our podcasts and blogs throughout the year.
We've launched our monthly book club where participants meet the author and have the chance to ask her questions.
We have also created a year-long series of sessions for young Women, with a wide-ranging focus, including objectification, art activism and county lines.
We are starting an art project with young Women in the city and look forward to exhibiting the results at the FiLiA2021 conference.
Lots more ideas are currently being discussed with many Women's community groups, so keep checking back for updates.
With thanks to the funders who recognised the potential for such work.
