FIL Speaker Felicity Gerry QC Saves Filipina Women from Death Row.

We are delighted that Felicity Gerry QC, who will be speaking at Feminism in London 2015, has succeeded in securing a reprieve from execution for Mary Jane Veloso, a Filipina maid sentenced to death for drug trafficking in Indonesia.  With so little time to spare that Filipina media had already sent to press the news headlines confirming Mary Jane's death, Ms Gerry achieved the apparently impossible with the vital information that Mary Jane should be regarded as a victim of human trafficking.  Watch the whole story here.
