Sarah and Alice discuss the current Government consultation on pre-charge bail, and why a change in police practice is needed to protect victims-survivors of rape, domestic abuse and stalking.
Sarah Learmonth is a committed advocate for women and girls. She worked for 8 years as the Communications Officer for a Rape Crisis Centre and holds an MA in Woman and Child Abuse. Her dissertation study, which focused on the use of bail in rape cases, has been referenced by such institutions as HMICFRS, the Office of the Victims Commissioner and the College of Policing as well as the Centre for Women's Justice.
Sarah’s particular interest is feminist participative research, and she now works on a number of projects and campaigns tackling sexual violence across the women’s sector.
